To earn a few extra dollars to buy some ham goodies I do the following services:
MAIL ORDER REPAIRS of small pieces of gear or circuit cards (ie from Argonaut 509/515) or Atlas 210X and especially FT301). Board level/component level repairs and fixes.
NO ALIGNMENTS: "Generally"..I am limited by time and the relatively uncalibrated/simpler test equipment I have and I generally dont tackle other peoples radios when it comes to alignments. Exception here is the FT301. I understand the circuitry and I have a shop manual and I have 5 of these radios..3 for parts and 2 working radios. Iam going to try alignment of a couple of my older Argonauts this winter and develop and procedure for these radios.
I can Fix things and get them going..often for a fraction of the cost to go to a more sophisticated shop. My hourly rate for fixes and rework is only $10/hr.
Smaller QRP kit type rigs, HW8s,stuff like that with transistors and ICs -- I have all these types of parts in stock (I have half a basement with parts and shop). I can build kits as well. I have built some surface mount DDS vfo kits with success. Email me and certainly I can give you estimates and an idea of what might be involved cost wise to fix up your small electronic accessory or radio ect.
My EMAIL LINK is below and you could send me digital pictures of what you want repaired. I could give you an estimate and we can go from there.
I don't modify CBs for higher power use but I could repair a cb . HERE IS A PAGE FOR MY CB REPAIR>

REPAIRS... WHAT I DO and What I don't do. My limitation is parts,my test equipment not good enough (yet) for alignments and my LACK of SERVICE MANUALS for certain pieces of gear.

I can custom build things such as
end fed antenna networks. See
my Par End Fed Antenna page
where I both buy a ready made
antenna and I build one of my
own.
This is a Korting 1030 Short
wave and general coverage
receiver. I had good success
with this repair. I replaced a
couple of tubes and cleaned
some contacts for only $35
labour charge. ( I work for $10
in my basement shop).
Sometimes..with older
pieces..if a power transformer
is damaged or some other hard
to get part is needed..I can not
complete the repair.
HERE IS MY PAGE concerning
this particular radio repair
situation (old "vintage" tube
radio repair).

Here is a Ranger RCI-2980 that I
checked out for a fellow in town. I
tested the meters and had to order
replacements and I checked the
output on my spectrum analyser to
see the power output (whether it
was clean or not and checked the
power going out into a dummy load
(using my BIRD high quality
wattmeter).
For this one I did follow some of
the alignment procedures for the
transmitter to see if it was
adjusted correctly..but I will not go
in and do mods to "boost up the
power" above and beyond the
Industry Canada guidelines. NOTE:
I sold him a low pass filter very
reasonable and my labour charges
for all the work were about only
$40.00
PLUG IN CIRCUIT BOARDS ..like this
one (Argonaut 509 final output). are
my specialty.
I have quite a few spares for low
power radios such as the older
Argonauts. I can match the FINAL
TRANSISTORS with my HFE test jig.
I have MRF237s and other MRF
series low power transistors and I
can match a pair up for FREE labour
charge. (This is DC voltage matching).
FT301, FT221 plug in boards I can
repair as well. I have quite a few
spare parts and boards for the FT301.
Circuit boards can be sent fairly
easily and economically through the
mail (even internationally)..whereas
large radios such as the FT301 itself
are quite costy to send. Email me at
this link for FREE no hassle quotes
and or free repair/restoration tips ect.
Email best..as I can answer at my
convenience.

My list of references is slowly growing. I work on mostly repairing my own stuff but I do help out now and again with mail order repairs, free advice and helpful hints.
