FT301 -- trouble shooting. Over the past few weeks people have written emails to me outlining various
little problems that they are having. Often these older solid state rigs are given to people or picked up at
flea markets and people want to get them going. I have most of the parts with exception of Final
Transistors. Final Transistors are expensive and I need some myself!!! I have many of the smaller
transistors and ICs and spare boards and you could even mail me boards to fix at $10/hr bench rate.

Ten Tec Argonaut Trouble Shooting. I also get correspondence from the hams who want to get their old 509 or
505 back in shape again. Here are some examples of what is going on. Some of my own experiences are outlined
as well. CLICK HERE FOR THESE NEW PAGES THIS FALL 2011
ICOM IC290A all mode 2 meter rig. I bought two of these at a flea market recently for only $25 each. Both of
them were rather easy to fix and get going again. One was frequency frozen with a bad encoder. Sometimes
you just try a junkbox part subsitute and it works!!
